This study conducted a systematic review of 23 studies to examine the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy on employee mental health. Results suggest that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction may be an effective intervention to improve employee’s psychological functioning. Significant improvements were demonstrated in the following areas: burnout, stress, psychological distress, depression, anxiety, occupational stress, mindfulness, occupational self-compassion, quality of sleep, and relaxation.
