We're Hiring! Seeking Chief Program Officer

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Calmer Choice Chief Program Officer is responsible for leading the overall vision, strategic development, implementation and evaluation of Calmer Choice’s direct service and training programs. Additionally, the Chief Program Officer collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement organizational strategies, policies and practices to ensure the highest quality of service, ethical practice, and responsible allocation of resources.

  • Status: Full-time
  • Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
  • Supervision: Director of Program Services (FT), Director of Program Operations (FT)
  • Compensation: Salaried; commensurate with experience
  • Hours: M – F, evenings and weekends as required

Job Responsibilities

Specific activities include but are not limited to:

External Relations

  • Serve as the key liaison between Calmer Choice and our school district and community partners; manage these networks of partners to ensure the development of relationships and programming
  • Identify and cultivate new relationships with key community stakeholders to ensure program growth and sustainability

Program Development and Delivery

  • In collaboration with the Director of Program Services and Director of Program Operations, provide the leadership, strategic direction, project management, and coordination of all aspects of Calmer Choice school and community-based programs, both virtual and in-person
  • Develops and oversees the ongoing implementation of instructor training and orientation programs, in-service trainings, and continuing education opportunities for instructional staff

    Program Evaluation
  • Develop effective and efficient tools for measuring the success of each program for both internal and external audiences
    Actively analyze program performance evaluation and outcomes information and apply findings to steadily improve program offerings
  • Create cross-departmental systems to track all relevant program data, and ensure that data is being captured, assessed, and reported to key stakeholders

    Research and Advocacy
  • Working closely with the CEO, facilitate all necessary research as it relates to program validation
  • Maintains working knowledge of current academic and scientific findings and publications pertinent to Calmer Choice programs
  • Ensures continuity, consistency and accuracy in all information included or presented in Calmer Choice educational, promotional and grant materials

    Staff Management
  • Directly manages and evaluates Director of Program Services and Director of Program Operations
  • Collaborating with the Director of Program Operations, oversees hiring, ongoing supervision, annual review and termination of program and instructional staff

Fiscal Management

  • In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, develop and maintain the fee structure for all Calmer Choice direct service and training programs
  • Provide oversight and accountability for program-related revenue streams in the organization’s annual budget

Organization-wide Responsibilities

  • Attend Board of Directors meetings and retreats as requested
  • Attend organization-wide events, trainings and retreats as requested
  • Participate in annual performance review process
  • Support additional duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Advanced degree in related field desired
  • Supervisory and leadership experience
  • Advance training in mindfulness; well-developed personal mindfulness practice
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills; flexible schedule; reliable and punctual; team player; well-organized with time and record keeping
  • Attendance and/or participation in related retreats or groups, classes, or available trainings for support, inspiration, growth, and positive reinforcement
  • Pass CORI check
