This may sound like an impossibility, but through developing a mindful awareness practice it can become a reality.
This Calmer Choice 8-week program introduces participants to mindfulness through experiential practices, large and small group discussions, movement and other related activities. Participants should be prepared to engage with other class participants and spend time between classes practicing mindful awareness.
Participants will experience and learn how developing a mindfulness practice can have numerous benefits in everyday life, such as:
- Reducing anxiety
- Reducing stress and increasing stress management
- Supporting healthy relationships
- Increasing positive mood and empathy
- Improving immune system function
- Improving focus and attention
- Enhancing resilience
Calmer Choice’s curriculum has been researched by Yale, Harvard, MIT and Tufts. Recent studies showed positive brain changes in children who received the Calmer Choice program.
