Good News to Share: An Update & Invitation

Dear Community,

What a time of unfolding! Here on Cape Cod, spring has burst forth in every nook and cranny and treetop. With the season’s undeniable energy pushing us towards the busyness and celebration of summertime, students and teachers alike are feeling the pull towards the end of another school year. While this point in the year is always a bittersweet time for Calmer Choice, this one is particularly poignant as it marks the end of our last school year - and the beginning of a major organizational transition.

Good News to Share

The kindness and compassion of our community since the announcement of our closure has been immense, and we thank each and every one of you who has reached out, written, and offered support during this time of change.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of you, our supporters, we have been able to secure the funding we need to fulfill 100% of our program commitments through June across all our school and organizational partners. We are so deeply grateful for your help in allowing us to practice this good ending, and to walk this path with integrity. On behalf of our students and classrooms and schools and partners, we thank you!

Celebrate with Us

Internally, we have been practicing leaning into the process of change and how it affects us each as individuals and together as an organization. Being present and open to the uncertainty of this period has allowed us to truly appreciate the beauty of being together in an organizational community, the pride we feel for the work we have accomplished, and the practice of mindfulness that we have been able to share. And we wish to celebrate!

Please join us on Monday June 9th from 3-5pm at Scargo Cafe in Dennis for an Organizational Celebration of Life. This is a time for us as a community to share memories of Calmer Choice’s tenure, connect with our community, and mark an important moment in our history. We truly hope you can make it.
