Tour de Barnstable is going virtual!
In light of the COVID-19 quarantine and social distancing recommendations, this year's Tour de Barnstable event will be held online.
What does that mean?
It means instead of meeting up with 600 people on June 7th, you are now going to meet up with yourself (and whoever else is in your household) and ride by yourself! Whoo-hoo!
Where am I doing this?
At home! Either on your stationary bike at home, or in your neighborhood on your bike.
Please do not gather in groups to complete this ride, and please follow all CDC instructions on how to keep yourself and others safe during this time.
When am I doing this?
You have from now until the end of the day on Sunday, June 7th to finish the 38 miles.
That’s a lot of time!
We know! The best part of a virtual ride is that you control all the settings! Want to do the full 38 miles at one time? Have at it! Want to ride five miles a day for 6+ days? More power to you! Crank up the heat and pretend you’re riding mid-July in the sun, or crank the AC and have your kids pelt you with pool floaties and water guns like it’s a nore’aster. You do you!
Why am I still doing this?
Now more than ever, Calmer Choice needs your help! Our programming and events have been drastically reduced, which plays a large role in our fundraising efforts.
How do I participate?
- Ride For Our Team
To join our team of riders, click this link. Be sure to choose the Calmer Choice team during registration.
- Donate To Our Team
Not a cyclist? No problem, you can still support Calmer Choice by donating to our team online.
- Be a virtual cheerleader!
It takes a community to make a ride happen, and we need our cheerleaders now more than ever. Make a video of yourself cheering on your team virtually, riding your training bike in a funny costume, or any other fun thing you think will help people cross the virtual finish line.
