Support the young people Calmer Choice serves this Giving Tuesday
The pandemic spared almost no one from mental health impacts. Children are especially vulnerable. Calmer Choice has spent the last year creating and revising our evidence-based mindfulness programming to address the incredible need we are seeing Cape-wide and beyond.
Even with the creation of new programs it still costs only $60 per student to bring the Calmer Choice to a school -whether it’s virtual or in-person, before school or after school. We want to reach everyone who needs us this year, just like these children:
"When I get embarrassed or angry, I use mindfulness now to notice my emotions and calm down." – Evan, age 14
"Thank you for helping us learn how to be calm. My favorite part of the lessons are listening to the bell chime and learning how my brain works." – Lexi, age 10
"I liked learning how to stop and listen to my breath. I learned that people aren't the same and that's ok. It's important to exercise your brain." - Matthew, age 8
"One of my favorite parts of Calmer Choice was learning about my feelings. Now I try to make good decisions after pausing and breathing." – Noreen, age 10
"I think mindfulness has helped my class because we are all calm and ready to learn after we practice." – Max, age 8
"Learning how everyone has a different perspective was interesting and helps me with my friends at school." – Teagan, age 11
How many young people can you help us reach this year?
It costs on average $60 per student to implement a Calmer Choice program in a school. We’ve reached 28,500 people to date – can you help us reach even more with a donation today?
